On June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput, aged 34, was discovered deceased in his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. He had exhibited indications of clinical depression and was reported to have bipolar disorder. The postmortem report identified the cause of death as “asphyxia due to hanging” and categorized it as a “clear case of suicide.“

Mukesh Chhabra stirred excitement on the internet by suggesting the possibility of a sequel to Dil Bechara. The initial movie, directed by Chhabra, featured the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput alongside Sanjana Sanghi. Notably, the film served as Mukesh’s directorial debut and was released posthumously following Sushant’s untimely demise.
Mukesh Chhabra posted on X, simply stating “Dil Bechara 2” without providing much context. However, the response to this idea took an unexpected turn, as it clearly disappointed many fans of Sushant.
